ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Rhodesian Teak has a worldwide reputation as one of the most striking exotic woods available and is the perfect wood to complement the African spears, canes and shields we offer. We decided to offer these beautifully made stands after our customers requested a way to display the items they purchased from us in an organized and stunning manner.
The rich reddish brown base is laced with stripes that range in color from light brown to black. Polishing this extremely dense wood provides it with a stunning satin glow. This beautiful piece is very stable due to its’ custom designed thick, heavy base so you do not have to worry about it tipping over even if you load it up with long, heavy spears. The scale of this piece works equally well with spears, canes or a combination of the two.
These stands are 28” tall, 15” across the top and bottom with a 3” thick base. The top has eight round holes in it that are 1 ˝” across (about the size of a half dollar) that line up with ˝” deep recessed circular areas in the base so that the spear or cane will stay put. For an even more interesting display, we suggest securing a shield from one of the four support beams, preferably one that is small in scale as shown in the picture.
These stands ship broken down and take about 15 minutes to put together with eight exposed, bronze colored, hex head screws. These are the perfect addition to your cane or spear collection and display them in a very appealing fashion that offers the convenience of easy access while holding them securely. Order a set of our Big Five Canes, a warthog cane, a knopkerrie cane and one of our walking staffs and you have a striking conversation piece

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Our custom made seven-spear wall rack is made by a Master Cabinet Maker and is the perfect way to display your collection of African Spears and other African Weapons. The piece measures 52” tall, 37” wide and is 7” at the deepest point. There are seven slots for spears and enough room behind the spear shafts to display African Axes (shown on bottom shelf) and African War Clubs (shown on top shelf). We make this so that the spears tilt slightly back to make sure they do not fall forward and further support them by cutting a small, round hole into the bottom shelf that lines up with a half-moon cut-out along the front edge of the top shelf.
We use African Iroko, one of the most beautiful exotic woods found on that continent or anywhere else for that matter. Iroko is a very hard wood with beautiful, pronounced open graining. This wood exhibits holographic (similar to the reflective part of a credit card) properties, as portions of the wood will change color and appearance depending on the viewing angle. This is one of our favorite wood species to work with due to its stunning graining and striking appearance. If you would like to receive a sample of African Iroko scroll down to our “Samples of Exotic Woods” section and simply order one.
Mounting these racks is very easy as the back features an innovative, recessed hanger bracket that allows for flush mounting using the two screws provided. The weight of the rack and the items you place in it will give it a significant heft. For that reason, we only recommend securing this piece into wood studs or wood. We include simple hanging instructions supported with step-by-step photos that will enable (even the mechanically challenged) you to hang your spear rack in less than 15 minutes. The only tools you need are a stud finder, a drill and a level (all of which we can send you if you promise to send them back).
This is a spectacular piece that will provide you with a lifetime of viewing enjoyment. If you like the idea but want something built to your specifications give us a call.
